What is Auto-resolve?

Auto-resolve closes an open alert automatically when the condition that raised it clears, for example when a failing monitor passes a check again. This removes a manual step and keeps the alert list honest: what is open is what is still broken.

The resolution should notify the same people the alert did, so the person who was woken knows it is over.

Some sources cannot report recovery, such as a one-shot event or a security detection. Those alerts need a human to resolve them.
