You already have monitoring. Fix who gets woken.

AlertKick is the paging layer for teams who run production: rosters, escalation policies, and alerts that keep climbing until someone acknowledges. Keep Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or whatever raises the alert today - AlertKick decides who hears about it and on which channel.

sound familiar?

On-call fails in the same three ways everywhere.

The whole channel gets paged

Alerts land in a shared channel, so either everyone looks up at 3 AM or everyone assumes someone else will. A roster plus an escalation policy pages exactly one person, then climbs if they do not answer.

The rota lives in a spreadsheet

Nobody is sure whose week it is, handovers rely on memory, and a holiday means re-typing the schedule. In AlertKick the rotation keeps turning and overrides sit on top without touching it.

Per-seat pricing taxes the team

Per-engineer tools make adding someone to the rotation a billing decision. AlertKick is priced by infrastructure - your whole team is included on every plan, including the free one.

what you get

The paging layer, plus the monitoring if you want it.

Start with rosters and escalation on top of your existing alerts. The same plan also covers uptime checks, heartbeats, and an agent for host metrics - so you can consolidate later without changing tools.

A rota only works if the pages are worth waking up for. Alerts are grouped and deduplicated before anyone is paged, and AI reads each one in context to decide whether it deserves an interruption. Read the full story.

Questions SRE teams ask before moving on-call

Can we keep our existing monitoring stack?
Yes. AlertKick accepts alerts from Prometheus Alertmanager, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, Zabbix, Nagios, Icinga2, and a generic webhook. Many teams use it purely as the on-call and escalation layer on top of the monitoring they already trust.
Do you charge per engineer on the rotation?
No. Plans are flat and priced by infrastructure: Free, £39 a month for 5 hosts, £149 a month for 25 hosts. Adding an engineer to the rota never changes the bill.
What happens when the primary on-call sleeps through a page?
The escalation policy keeps climbing: the backup is paged next, then a roster or a manager, then a catch-all channel. Each level has its own wait time and channel, and acknowledging at any level stops the whole thing.
Can someone acknowledge from their phone?
Yes. The mobile app pages you directly and lets you acknowledge or resolve without opening a laptop. Acknowledging on the phone stops the escalation everywhere.

Put your rota somewhere it can page people.

Build a roster, attach an escalation policy, and fire a test alert at yourself. Ten minutes, no sales call, and the whole team is included on every plan.
