The short version: alertkick.com sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising trackers. One optional analytics tool, Microsoft Clarity, loads only if you accept it in the cookie banner. The AlertKick application sets only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in and secure.
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar mechanism for storing preferences on your device without sending them to a server on every request. Both are covered by this policy.
The website itself sets no cookies. It stores two values in your browser's local storage:

Our edge provider, Cloudflare, may set a short-lived security cookie on a small number of requests when it needs to challenge automated traffic; it is not used to track you.
If you accept analytics in the banner, we load Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling, navigation paths, and anonymised session replays) so we can see where the site is confusing and fix it. Clarity does not load, and sets nothing, until you accept. Microsoft processes this data under its privacy statement; Clarity masks text you type by default.

There is no Google Analytics, no advertising or retargeting pixel, and no social media tracking on the site. Fonts and scripts are served from our own domain.
When you sign in, the application sets strictly necessary cookies. These cannot be switched off because the service would not work without them.

The application also uses local storage for interface preferences such as theme, dashboard layout, and filters you have applied. These stay on your device.
If you pay for a plan, the checkout page is hosted by Stripe and Stripe sets its own cookies for fraud prevention and to complete the payment, under Stripe's cookie policy. If you sign in with GitHub or Google, their sign-in pages set their own cookies under their policies. We do not control those cookies.
The cookie banner on your first visit lets you accept or reject analytics with one click; rejecting is as easy as accepting. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings button in the bottom-left corner of any page, which withdraws consent, stops Clarity, and clears its cookies. You can also delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you block the application's session cookie you will not be able to stay signed in.
If we add or change any non-essential cookies we will update this page first and ask for your consent again before setting them.
